Thundering Mountain Indian Hand Craft is located at 3452 (1 door north of Lucy’s Appliances) Sheridan Road in Zion, Illinois and is owned and operated by Bill and Linda Brown of Zion.

Thundering Mountain offers the Lake County shoppers many items normally found only at pow-wows (a Native American gathering), ranging from beads and other supplies to many decorative Native American hand crafted items.  Native American Jewelry, silver jewelry, hand crafted flutes, Face Masks, Kachinas, Dream Catchers, Smudge Bowls, Medicine Wheels, Pipes, Hand Painted Drums, Baskets available for purchase, plus much,much more.

In the retail store we also carry Minnetonka moccasins and craft supplies in addition to everything you will see on this site.

Retail store hours:

  Thursday, 12:30pm to 5:30pm;

Friday, 12:30pm to 7:00pm;

Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm;

Every other Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00.


Also open by appointment most evenings with advance notice. Please call in advance of  weekends as some are Pow-Wow dates and we may not be there.
